Wheel compatibility admission: Interpreter minimum constraints are ignored · case 01

Interpreter minimum constraints are ignored.

Verified by executionVariant 1 · 10 checks per implementationDownload source bundle ↓JSON ↗

ROOT CAUSE

The implementation substitutes True for version >= wheel['minimum'], so interpreter minimum constraints are ignored.

VERIFIED REPAIR

Apply the inclusive minimum interpreter version.

Unsuccessful approach: The attempted repair substitutes version > wheel['minimum']. Fixture 1 still yields False instead of True.

Case contract

Accept a wheel when at least one Python tag, ABI tag, and platform tag is supported; universal tags py3, none, and any have explicit support. Reject yanked wheels and incompatible minimum interpreter versions.

Why this case matters

An offline model of wheel compatibility admission, suitable for testing build and release tooling without external services.

Verification & scope

This reproducer isolates one failure mechanism. Results cover the supplied fixtures. Variants within a family share a test contract and should remain grouped when constructing evaluation splits. Related mechanisms with a shared evaluation_group must also remain together; these controlled models are not independent production incidents.
