Accordion open-panel state: Single-open accordions accumulate expanded panels · case 01

Single-open accordions accumulate expanded panels.

Verified by executionVariant 1 · 8 checks per implementationDownload source bundle ↓JSON ↗

ROOT CAUSE

The single open operation uses `else: opened.add(target)` where the contract requires `else: opened = {target}`.

VERIFIED REPAIR

Implement the single open operation as `else: opened = {target}`.

Unsuccessful approach: Clearing the set opens no requested panel.

Case contract

Discard removed panels; ignore invalid targets; expanded panels close only when collapsible; multiple mode unions and single mode replaces.

Why this case matters

A deterministic model of accordion open-panel state; this isolates one interface invariant without requiring a browser.

Verification & scope

This reproducer isolates one failure mechanism. Results cover the supplied fixtures. Variants within a family share a test contract and should remain grouped when constructing evaluation splits. Related mechanisms with a shared evaluation_group must also remain together; these controlled models are not independent production incidents.
