Forward day-count period with last-day extension and service add-on: trigger exclusion · case 03
A 14-day period expires a day early because the trigger day is counted as day one.
Case contract
Stipulated rule: exclude the trigger day, count every calendar day, and if the last day is a Saturday, Sunday or listed holiday continue to the next day that is none of these. When service was by mail or by leaving with the clerk, 3 days are added after the period would otherwise expire, and the last-day extension is applied again. Electronic and hand service add nothing.
