Amendment priority: request replay · case 01
Replayed replacement requests create additional order revisions.
ROOT CAUSE
Replayed replacement requests create additional order revisions.
THE FAILURE
Replayed replacement requests create additional order revisions.
Unsuccessful approach: The attempted repair uses x["revision"] if x["new_total"]==x["total"] else x["revision"]+1; the explicit regression cases demonstrate that this still violates the stipulated auction rule.
Case contract
A single auction order amendment tracks filled units, original queue stamp and an incoming replacement. Price change or size increase loses queue priority; reducing total size cannot erase existing fills. A cancel acknowledgment terminates remaining quantity. Integer stamps and quantities are nonnegative. Named decision request-replay: Recognize replay by request identity rather than unchanged quantities.
Why this case matters
Offline administrative auction model for software failure analysis.

HELD IN THE MEMBER ARCHIVE
The verified repair and its recorded checks are member-only.
This mechanism has 12 recorded checks per implementation. The open-access tier publishes the failure and the unsuccessful fix; the repaired source that passes every check, and the observations that prove it, are available to members.
Every case sharing this mechanism uses the same contract and the same repair, so this one record is held back for all of them.
Member access is invitation-based. Sign in with your invited account to inspect the repair.

Stipulated toy auction rules, not a venue specification, financial advice, optimization claim, or live trading implementation. Nonnegative integer inputs and internally aligned list fields only. This reproducer isolates one failure mechanism. Results cover the supplied fixtures. Variants within a family share a test contract and should remain grouped when constructing evaluation splits. Related mechanisms with a shared evaluation_group must also remain together; these controlled models are not independent production incidents.
