Case contract

A 3D upload buffer has independently specified row length, image height, and byte pixel size. A valid subvolume starts after skipped images, rows, and pixels. Destination uses independent row and slice pitches; return all per-row transfer origins. Return the named intermediate layout descriptor and final address fields; all quantities are integer byte offsets unless explicitly stated.
