Failed deque iterator split resets the retained start position · case 04
Failed deque iterator split resets the retained start position.
Case contract
Split an iterator range into disjoint prefix and suffix if its length meets a positive minimum. Both halves retain the same captured deque epoch and cover every original element exactly once.
Why this case matters
Controlled bounded deque implementation model with explicit storage and lifecycle observations.
One recorded failure
Sample boundary fixtureThis sample comes from the broken implementation of a controlled reproducer.
| Boundary fixture | Actual | Expected | Outcome |
|---|---|---|---|
| short shifted remainder | [null, [0, 3, 6], [6]] | [null, [2, 3, 6], [6]] | Failed |
