FA-11056 / Media playlist state / Open access
Play next insertion order · case 01
Play-next items are inserted before the playing item.
ROOT CAUSE
Play-next items are inserted before the playing item.
VERIFIED REPAIR
Preserve the media contract: Insert a batch immediately after the current valid entry, retaining batch order and the playing entry.
Unsuccessful approach: Repeated stack-style insertion reverses the requested batch order.
Case contract
Insert a batch immediately after the current valid entry, retaining batch order and the playing entry.
Why this case matters
A deterministic local media controller stage; metadata and downloaded data are supplied explicitly. No external player, service or codec is required.

Verification & scope
This reproducer isolates one failure mechanism. Results cover the supplied fixtures. Variants within a family share a test contract and should remain grouped when constructing evaluation splits. Related mechanisms with a shared evaluation_group must also remain together; these controlled models are not independent production incidents.
