A decimal halfway value rounds downward · case 01
A value specified as a decimal rounds below the required half-up result.
ROOT CAUSE
Converting through binary floating point changes the value before rounding.
VERIFIED REPAIR
Parse the decimal string directly and apply the explicit half-up rule.
Unsuccessful approach: Converting a float to Decimal preserves the earlier representation error.
Case contract
Parse the decimal string directly and apply the explicit half-up rule.
Why this case matters

Verification & scope
This reproducer isolates one failure mechanism. Results cover the supplied fixtures. Variants within a family share a test contract and should remain grouped when constructing evaluation splits. Related mechanisms with a shared evaluation_group must also remain together; these controlled models are not independent production incidents.
